Dear Wind Colleague

Dear Wind Colleague,

The wind industry currently faces many challenges but also many opportunities. Helios Strategies is perfectly positioned to help wind energy companies navigate the corridors of power in Washington and add value to their bottom line.

There are several challenges that could inhibit future growth in the industry. These include the uncertainty surrounding extension of the renewable energy production tax credit, the ongoing restructuring of the Department of Energy’s Wind Program, and the web of federal policies and programs affecting development and deployment of wind technology. These challenges mean that securing new sources of federal technical expertise and financial opportunities is important to expand market share of current wind energy products and fully develop and deploy advanced wind technology concepts in the energy generation sector.

Opportunities exist for congressionally directed funds, federal government matching funds, and participation in pilot/demonstration programs. Not only do federal funds and recognition provide an organization equity-free capital, but the ability to attract federal funding elevates an organization’s standing in the eyes of stakeholder partners.

Helios Strategies is an experienced, balanced and well positioned government relations and marketing firm that has a proven track record of providing a full range of Congressional and federal agency-related services, including federal funding support, intelligence/information on energy policy and federal programs, and activities to enhance client visibility and partner networks. Helios Strategies has the tools to help develop lobbying and government marketing campaigns, along with access to energy policy decision makers in Washington, which are imperative components of any federal funding strategy.

The capabilities of Helios Strategies are based on a strong relationship with Department of Energy Wind and Water Program and related assets, close ties to the Congressional funding and energy related committees and individual Members of Congress, successful engagement with other Federal agencies on issues related to wind technology development and deployment, and proven advocacy and partnerships with wind industry interests.

I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your colleagues to explore wind market, policy and technology areas that both offer challenges to your organization as well as opportunities for new growth.

With Regards,
